Our gracious host, Bira Reis, director of the Bloco Instrumental Kizumba and of the Oficina de Investigação Musical, has a great bed-and-breakfast set up especially for musicians from around the world who want to immerse themselves in the rich musical universe of Bahia. I stayed there during Carnaval 2004. It was incredible.
